Another popular camping ground at Guanella Pass is the Columbine Campground , which is located west of Denver. This camping ground has 46 sites, which makes it one of the largest in Guanella Pass . Moreover, each camping site is adequately equipped with its designated picnic table, campfire ring and a grill for barbecues.
For dispersed camping travel south of Guanella Pass campground on hwy 381 maybe a mile and turn west on Naylor Park Road. Dispersed camping allowed along and off this road but not at Naylor Lake. The Clear Creek Ranger District where you can get UVUM maps is located in Idaho Springs.

There is NO dispersed camping on the Georgetown side of the Guanella Pass do to overuse. Former camping areas and blocked off and are now posted No Camping . Dispersed camping is plentiful on the Grant side of the pass in. Continue down FSR 119 and the unmarked Buno Gulch Rd for plenty of nice dispersed camping sites.
5/10/2020 · Both sides of the pass offer camping , in the form of free dispersed campsites and USFS campgrounds . Well cover the ones on the Highway 285 side of Guanella Pass . One of the biggest attractions to the pass , aside from the stunning auto tour, is hiking the 14er, Mt Bierstadt.

Dispersed and Primitive Camping . UPDATE: Guanella Pass campground has been converted to a fee site. $13-15 per night. Free primitive camping is very limited and usually requires per person access pass and registration with nearest ranger station. It is getting harder to find free camping in Colorado.
9/17/2019 · My understanding is that dispersed camping along the pass is now prohibited and restricted only to campsites. I’ve checked recreation.gov for campsite availablility but it seems that either the website isn’t correct or literally every single campsite at every campground anywhere near Guanella
